How does this work?

1. Build your order and personalize your design now or later.  If you choose later, you'll receive a link for the personalization form to complete or you can fill out the card in the Print Kit.

2. You will receive an inkless fingerprinting kit within 5-7 days (U.S. orders only; one per couple).  Please return your fingerprints in included prepaid envelope (allow 5-7 days for delivery) OR scan/photograph and return via email.



3. Make it perfect! Review digital proof and request changes or approve for production.

What is the inkless Print Kit?

The inkless fingerprint taking kit is meant to accompany the custom fingerprint/footprint posters.

This special system will help you achieve clear and defined prints. The kit is very easy to use and completely mess-free! Only one kit is needed per couple and includes everything you need to take and return your prints.

Do I have to use the inkless Print Kit?

No - if you are short on time and need your order quickly, you can use your own ink and paper to take your fingerprints.  Please see fingerprinting instructions here.

Do I have to use my own fingerprints?


No, you have the option to choose the stock fingerprints shown in the sample photos.

Will I have a chance to review the artwork?


Yes, you will receive a digital proof by email to review before production.  You will work directly with the artist to create the perfect custom keepsake.

Can you describe the product in detail?


Keepsakes are printed on thick, archival quality matte paper with fade-resistant ink.  

Upgrades:
Gallery Wrapped Canvas - Acid-free, fade-resistant coated canvas stretched around 1.5” thick wooden frame.  Mounting brackets included.
Framed Print - Black alder lightweight wood frame from renewable forests, acrylite front protector (not glass); Removable backing; 24x36 size not available in some countries

When will I receive my artwork?


If you choose to use your own fingerprints, your first proof will be ready 5-7 days after your fingerprints are received by Flutterbye Prints.  If you select to use the stock fingerprints, your proof will be ready 3-5 days after you place your order.

You will be notified when prints are received.  Prints need to be received no later than 14 days (18 days for canvas/frame upgrades) prior to when you need the poster without incurring additional rush fees. Please consider the shipping time for prints if you return them via mail. International delivery times vary, averaging 2-3 weeks; prints are needed 5 weeks prior to event.  Print Kits are not recommended or provided for international orders but can be purchased separately.

After approval it takes about 3-5 days for the product to be printed and shipped. If Flutterbye Prints is unable to reach you concerning your digital proof after four attempts, your order will be shipped without approval of the design.


Shipping times will depend on your location and shipping choice.

What if I want to order another product with my fingerprint?


A one-time fee will apply to custom fingerprints; once it has been digitized, it will be on file and you can use it for other keepsake products at no additional cost.

What if I don’t like my keepsake?


Since you’ll be working directly with the artist, you’ll have a chance to make changes and voice your concerns before anything is produced.   If you are not satisfied with the artwork before it is produced, you are welcome to cancel your order for a full refund.
